What is God's Treasure?

Founded over 12 years ago under the leadership of Pastor Gary Carswell at New Life for Better Living Christian Center, God's Treasure is a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of young women. This group was inspired by a divine vision, emphasizing that every young woman is cherished as God's treasure, regardless of the challenges, trials, or mistakes encountered along the journey of life.

Our mission is to create a supportive environment where women can come together to share their experiences and testimonies. We believe that no one is disqualified from God's love, forgiveness, and compassion, and our collective stories serve as a testament to His grace and strength.

At God's Treasure, we foster a safe space where members can engage deeply with the Word of God. Through prayer, laughter, and heartfelt discussions, we explore real-life situations and learn to navigate life's complexities. Our gatherings are characterized by encouragement and upliftment, as we sharpen one another and grow closer to God.

As a sisterhood, we stand firm in our faith, united by the belief that with God on our side, we are never defeated. If you are seeking a community that values companionship, growth, and faith, we invite you to join us. You will find a warm welcome and a place where you truly belong.

I joined Minister Mia’s, God’s Treasure class about a year ago and it has been life changing. As someone who didn’t grow up in church or have the best relationship with God, I can say there was no better way start my journey. Minister Mia and the ladies of the class welcomed me with open arms and taught me the importance of having a relationship with God. I feel like I handle life and it’s obstacles differently now. I’ve learned to pray, better ways to read and study the Bible, and feel comfortable with doing so. This class is a sisterhood and I’m blessed to be apart of it.

When I started attending God’s Treasure it was simply to support Minister Mia. I never would have imagined over 15 years later, I would have gained a sisterhood that I can’t live without! We uplift each other, we pray together, laugh together and even cry together. God’s Treasure is a safe space; it’s a circle of women who can trust one another and be vulnerable with each other. It’s a space where everyone wants to see each other win! Through our lessons, I’ve gained so much knowledge, clarity and guidance on my spiritual journey. The thing I love most is that Minister Mia meets people where they are with love, kindness and no judgment but still holds us accountable. I love that she makes herself available to us, even outside of our scheduled classes. She is truly a gem – it’s no wonder God trusted her with His valuable possessions, God’s treasure.

I love God’s Treasure & Minister Mia whole heartedly! The way she pours into each and every single woman that has ever came onto the class. The way she encourages, uplifts, supports each and every one of us! Her teachings have gotten me through some of my darkest times. Her prayers have changed & blessed my life. I trust and believe the God in her because she allows God to not only use her but she teaches us directly from the Bible. Not of her own but scriptures directly from the Bible. She lays before God for us and she does it with her whole heart! Her class is a blessing to so many of us and I pray that it can be a blessing to you as well

“God’s Treasure” In the name and the meaning itself is beyond powerful and one that I didn't believe I was. I struggled for years with my confidence and self-esteem. It was the unwavering support of my sisters in Christ that gave me the strength to keep going. Joining this God ordained group of women many years ago has encouraged me to push through the hard times, believing that I am that I am treasured by God..God hand picked me to be a part of such powerful women and to allow me know that I am beautifully and wonderfully made. The power of this sisterhood “ God's Treasure” is genuine, and it is in these connections, these bonds, that we find our true strength, through the strength of the Lord. we are reminded of our worth, our potential, and our collective ability to make change. Allowing us to have a simple act of kindness, a shoulder to cry on and a voice of encouragement, God’s Treasure holds the power to heal, to uplift, and to transform through God.

I was introduced to God's Treasure by one of my best friends and I am so glad I was. This group of women and our leader, Mia, has drastically increased my entire relationship with God. I have never understood God's love as much as I do now and I have never worked this hard to establish and maintain a relationship with him. That is a direct testament to Mia's teaching, understanding and consistency in this group. I absolutely love God's Treasure.

There is nothing I love more than girl talk. With an added spiritual element , Gods Treasure provides a safe space and Godly foundation for women and girls to speak about experiencing the toughest trials and overcoming them. We are able to learn from our experiences and the experiences of others thanks to the vulnerability of all who come on . Min Mia does a great job with allowing reality to come right behind the Word. I look forward to Wednesdays .
